Greggles Miniature American Shepherds
About Us
Hi I'm Marc & I'm Nadine - We are the owners of Greggles Mini Americans :)

Introduction
Marc was born in England but spent most of his childhood growing up in Australia and often looked after his neighbours Australian Cattle Dog which was the start of his love for working breeds. (I love the activeness and how focused the MAS are as I enjoy cycling, walking, frisbee/ball games and love doing obedience work with them.)
Nadine was born and grew up in Germany, she spent a lot of time at her Grandmothers house helping to look after her Cocker Spaniel - Yoshi. Nadine helped to groom Yoshi in preparation for shows and attended some alongside her Grandma. (I love how passionate the MAS are towards their owners, they give back so much to you! They are great around kids, so gentle and loving towards them. I like the unique look of the MAS due to the varieties in coat/eye colour and patterns. They also make such great snuggle buddies.)
How we got introduced to the breed
Over three years ago we started to research indepth for the ideal breed that would be a lovely family pet, be active, intelligent and not be too large. Nadine always had the Standard sized Australian Shepherds in mind as she knew a few in Germany and was absolutley taken by their great personality, looks, and stamina. At some point we came across a blog where an American trainer was training a small size Australian Shepherd as a guide dog and this inspired us to learn more about them. We were particualrly interested in training one as a therapy dog due to Nadine being visually impaired and knowing what it can mean for people in need. It means so much to us seeing peoples faces light up when they see our Mini American's and get to know them, we knew we would have to work towards at least one P.A.T ( Pet as Therapy) dog in our family, which Benji is on his way to achieving.
Our future plans for the breed
We hope to bring beautiful looking show lines into the UK and breed healthy, gorgeous looking Mini Americans who are free from genetic dieseases and whos structure and conformation is as close to the breed standard as possible, but also have the right kind of temperament and personality. We will be working towards making the breed more well known and hoping to use them as a figure heads for changing peoples opinions about how they look after their pets through nutrition, training and socialisation. We are hoping to see more Mini Americans taking part in events such as agility, herding, obedience, flyball, P.A.T and last but not least in the show ring!
